FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY the Menallen Township Supervisors have authorized a burn ban in Menallen Township until further notice based on current fire conditions which are elevated throughout Fayette county and the increase number of calls relating to brush fires in and around Menallen Township. The New Salem Volunteer Fire Department has responded on multiple brush fires in the past several days. You can be cited on site for failure to take notice to this burn ban.
