****** Attention Menallen Township Residents  ******

Menallen Township Supervisors are working in conjunction with the Township’s Emergency Management Personnel, The Fayette County Emergency Management Agency, and the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department to ensure that the needs of our residents that have been impacted by this damaging storm event on Sunday March 16, 2025, are addressed. The Supervisors are in contact with representatives of West Penn Power and coordinating when power will be restored to our affected residents. Emergency Crews and Township Personnel responded to nearly 40 locations within the township yesterday for residents who needed assistance, from wires down, trees toppled , structural damage to multiple township homes, a serious gas leak, along with many township roadway that were blocked by toppled trees, and wires, some township roadways remain closed until West Penn crews can stabilize down power lines and restore service.

Menallen Township will open a warming center at the New Salem Fire Department located at the Menallen Township Public Safety Building. To anyone from our community. We are asking you to call the township if you need to the warming location, or if you need to just charge your phone, or use the hot spot internet connection provided by Vita Link.
